What we do

Our treatments and techniques

Six kinds of care, one aim: work out what is wrong, treat it, and send you back to your life. Not sure which one applies to you? Start with the condition you came in with and we will tell you at the first visit.

Your first visit is $97 — consultation, exam, HRV scan, X-rays if needed, and your first adjustment.

Chiropractic adjusting

The adjustment is the core of what we do. When a spinal joint stops moving the way it should, the muscles around it tighten to protect it, and that guarding is usually what you actually feel. A specific adjustment restores the motion so the muscle can let go.

We match the technique to the person rather than the other way round — a hands-on adjustment for some, a low-force instrument for others. If you would rather not be adjusted by hand, say so and we will use the gentler method from the first visit.

02

Non-surgical spinal decompression

Decompression uses a motorised table to gently separate the vertebrae and take pressure off a disc and the nerve root beside it. It is slow, comfortable and nothing like the traction people picture — most patients read or rest through it.

It is the treatment we reach for when pain travels down a leg or arm rather than staying local, and it works alongside adjusting rather than replacing it. Sessions are short and usually run in a series over several weeks.

03

Auto accident and sports injury

Whiplash symptoms often arrive a day or two after a collision, once the adrenaline drops. We examine the neck and mid-back thoroughly, treat what we find, and document everything in the detail an insurance claim needs.

The same approach applies to sports injuries: find the mechanical cause, treat it, and give you the loading that gets you back to the activity rather than resting your way out of it.

04

PEMF, LED bed and hyperbaric

These are the therapies that speed up what the adjustment starts. PEMF uses a pulsed magnetic field to help irritated tissue settle; the LED bed uses light to support recovery; the hyperbaric chamber raises the oxygen available to healing tissue.

None of them replace the adjustment and we do not sell them as standalone programmes. We add one when the exam suggests it will shorten your recovery, and we tell you when it will not.

05

Massage therapy

Soft-tissue work loosens the muscle that has been compensating for a restricted joint, which makes the adjustment hold longer. Many patients book it directly before or after their visit.

It is also available on its own if that is what you want, without any expectation that you become a chiropractic patient.

Prenatal, pediatric and nutrition

Prenatal care focuses on pelvic balance and the low-back load that comes with a shifting centre of gravity, using side-posture and drop-table methods rather than rotation. For infants and children the contact is light and sustained — closer to a firm fingertip than anything an adult would recognise as an adjustment.

Nutrition guidance sits alongside care for patients dealing with neuropathy, inflammation or fatigue. It is practical food-and-habit advice, not a supplement programme.

How the adjustment is delivered

Techniques we use

Five methods, chosen by what your body needs and what you are comfortable with. You do not need to know these names to book — we will explain which one we are using and why.

Gonstead

The most specific of the manual methods: a full analysis to find the exact segment, then one precise contact rather than a general mobilisation.

Diversified

The classic hands-on adjustment most people picture. Quick, shallow, and the one that produces the familiar release.

Activator

A hand-held instrument that delivers a small, measured impulse. No twisting, no popping — our first choice for nervous patients, older spines and children.

Drop table

A section of the table drops a fraction of an inch as we make contact, so gravity does part of the work and the force we need is much lower.

Flexion distraction

A gentle rhythmic stretch through the low back, used mainly for disc-related pain and often paired with decompression.
